Snag list

Also called: Punch list

The list of defects and unfinished items that must be fixed before a building is handed over.

Snag lists are compiled on walk-throughs by the client, architect or contractor, and each item is assigned to the responsible trade. Handover usually waits until the list is closed.

Items are often reported and closed with photos.

Where it goes wrong

Snags reported and fixed in WhatsApp groups don’t reach the list used for handover, so nobody trusts which items are really closed.

What Spurby does

Matches photos and replies to the snag they belong to, keeps the list current, and asks for proof where a fix isn’t shown.
