Fit sample
A sample garment made to check how a style fits on a body or dress form, with comments that feed the next round and the tech pack.
Styles usually go through a proto sample, one or more fit samples and a size set before production. Each fit session produces comments: a sleeve to shorten, a collar too wide, a hem to drop.
Those comments should update the tech pack and the pattern before the next sample is made.
Where it goes wrong
Fit comments shared as photos and voice notes often miss the next round, so the same issue comes back on the following sample.
