Where a sheet like this goes wrong
Small changes agreed on fit calls, like an extra trim or a wash, rarely make it back into the costing, and the margin shrinks without anyone deciding it should.
What Spurby does instead
Spurby checks every quote, PI and change against the costing and the target, and shows the reason when a style goes over.
Questions about this template.
How do you calculate the cost of a garment?
Add fabric (consumption × price × (1 + wastage)), trims and packing, and making costs such as cut-make-trim, washing and printing. Add overheads and freight, then the factory’s margin, to reach the price per piece.
What is FOB in garment costing?
FOB (free on board) is the price for goods loaded on the ship at the port of export. For export orders, the price per piece in this sheet is the FOB price.
Does the sheet include GST?
No. Enter amounts excluding GST, as most Indian costings do, and add tax separately.
