Time and action calendar
Also called: T&A calendar
The schedule of milestones from order to shipment, such as lab dips, samples, fabric, cutting and inspection, each with an owner and a date.
A T&A calendar works backwards from the ex-factory or launch date. It lists every milestone a style must pass, who owns it and when it is due, and is usually kept in Excel or a PLM.
When one milestone slips, everything after it should move.
Where it goes wrong
Delays are mentioned on calls and in chats, and the calendar is updated by hand days later, so the brand hears about a slip when it’s too late to recover.
